The Multiversity: Mastermen

Part of Grant Morrison’s sprawling Multiversity project for DC, this 2015 one-shot reimagines Earth-10, a world where the Axis powers won World War II. With Jim Lee on art, it introduces a grim, fascist take on the Justice League known as the Übermensch—including a corrupted Superman figure—and sets them against a desperate resistance. As a standalone chapter in Morrison’s multiversal saga, it explores the dark side of the superhero ideal with bold, iconic visuals.
