Jacob Chabot’s The Mighty Skullboy Army (2007–2015) from Dark Horse is a brief, madcap two-issue series following a hapless kid supervillain and his army of skull-headed henchmen. Chabot, the sole writer and artist, crafts a gleefully absurd world where the would-be evildoer’s schemes are constantly foiled by his own incompetence and the cheerful interference of his heroic sister. A charmingly silly antidote to grim superheroics, it showcases Chabot’s knack for playful cartooning and deadpan humor.
