The Human Torch

In this short-lived 1948-1949 series from Superior Publishers, the original Human Torch blazed through five issues of postwar superhero action. With art by Mike Sekowsky, Syd Shores, and Ken Bald, the stories continued the android hero's fiery adventures alongside his sidekick Toro. Though brief, the series is a notable artifact of the late Golden Age, showcasing the Torch's transition from Timely Comics to a smaller publisher before the character's eventual return to Marvel.
