The Hedge Knight

Based on George R. R. Martin's novella, this 2004 series from Devil's Due Publishing adapts the first of the "Tales of Dunk and Egg." Writer Ben Avery and artist Mike S. Miller bring to life a young hedge knight and his unlikely squire in the century before the events of A Song of Ice and Fire. Though the series ran for just a single issue, it remains a key visual introduction to a beloved corner of Westerosi history.
