The Haunt of Fear

A single 1954 issue from Arnold Book Company, The Haunt of Fear is a horror comic anthology most closely associated with the EC Comics team of writer-editors Al Feldstein and Bill Gaines, with artist Graham Ingels providing the grimly atmospheric visuals. Though it consists of only one issue, it represents the final, darkly compelling gasp of EC's pre-Code horror line before the industry's self-censorship reshaped the genre.
