The Great Gazoo

Charlton · 1973–1977 · 20 issues
About the series

From 1973 to 1977, Charlton Comics brought the whimsical world of Bedrock to the spinner racks with The Great Gazoo, a series that gave the Flintstones’ pint-sized, green alien sidekick his own starring vehicle. Spanning 20 issues, the title leaned into the character’s cosmic mischief and his often-frustrated friendship with Fred and Barney, with artist Tony DiPreta anchoring the visual gags across the run. While the Flintstone family and Dino joined the fun, the series carved out a niche as a lighthearted, kid-friendly romp through the prehistoric suburbia of Hanna-Barbera’s most famous cartoon, offering fans more of the stone-age slapstick they loved.
