The Gospel Blimp

Al Hartley wrote and drew this single-issue comic adaptation of Joseph Bayly’s satirical novella, published in 1974 by Fleming H. Revell Company. It lampoons well-meaning but misguided evangelism through the story of a church group that drops gospel tracts from a blimp. Hartley, best known for his wholesome Archie Comics work, brings a clean, approachable style to this pointed Christian satire.
