The Crimson Comet

In the mid-1950s, Action Comics introduced the short-lived The Crimson Comet, a 18-issue series written and drawn entirely by John Dixon. The strip followed the high-flying adventures of its titular hero, a costumed aviator who fought crime from the skies. Though it ran for only two years, Dixon’s distinctive art and solo storytelling make it a notable, if fleeting, entry in the Golden Age of comics.
