The Chosen

In 2023, David C. Cook launched The Chosen comic series, a direct adaptation of the hit television show that reimagines the Gospels through the eyes of those who met Jesus. The debut issue, written by the show's creator alongside comics talent, focuses on the backstory of the tax collector Matthew, exploring his life before he becomes a disciple. As a faith-based comic published by a Christian media house, it offers a visual extension of the series' character-driven storytelling, bringing its modern, intimate take on biblical narratives to a new format.
