About the series
Published between 2010 and 2016 by Image, The CBLDF Presents Liberty Annual is a series of benefit comics championing the First Amendment rights of readers and creators. Assembled by a rotating roster of talent including Dan Schkade, Evan Dorkin, Charlie Adlard, and Emma Vieceli, each issue offered a themed anthology of short stories from a wide array of independent and mainstream voices. As a fundraiser for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, the series matters not only for its star-studded creative lineups but for its direct, practical support of free expression in comics.
