The Captain and the Kids

A short-lived Australian comic series from Yaffa / Page, The Captain and the Kids (1960–present) reimagined the classic domestic chaos of the Katzenjammer Kids and their long-suffering Captain. Spanning only five issues, this iteration brought the iconic, anarchic newspaper strip to the comic-book format for a new generation of readers. While the series is brief, it stands as a notable example of how Yaffa / Page adapted beloved international properties for the Australian market during the early 1960s.
