The Brute

Seaboard's short-lived The Brute (1975) ran for just three issues, a creature-feature that leaned hard into the monstrous pathos of its mute, hulking protagonist. Writers Gary Friedrich and Michael Fleisher, alongside artists like Mike Sekowsky and a young Jim Starlin, pitted the Brute against the scheming Chief Frazier and the compassionate Dr. Ann Turner.
