The Blue Witch of Oz

Eric Shanower wrote and illustrated this single-issue comic for Dark Horse in 1992–1993, expanding L. Frank Baum’s Oz mythos with a new magical character. As a self-contained chapter in the Oz tradition, it showcases Shanower’s intricate, whimsical art and his deep affection for the series’ lore. Though brief, it’s a charming, creator-driven addition to the classic fantasy landscape.
