About the series
EC's short-lived Terror Illustrated (1955–1956) brought the publisher's signature horror anthology approach to a magazine-sized format, with only two issues produced before the industry's shifting landscape cut it short. Written primarily by Al Feldstein and featuring the moody, detailed artwork of George Evans and Reed Crandall, the series offered a darker, more atmospheric take on EC's classic shock tales. Though brief, it stands as a transitional work, bridging EC's celebrated horror comics with the more restrained era that followed.
