Teevee-tutut
Semic · 1984–1987 · 25 issues
About the series
A surreal Finnish comic series from Semic, Teevee-tutut (1984–1987) ran for 25 issues, blending absurdist humor with a distinctly off-kilter take on television culture. Created by the cartoonist Kari "Jykke" Suomalainen, the strip follows the bizarre adventures of a television set and its eccentric owners, satirizing media consumption with a playful, deadpan wit. Its importance lies in its cult status as a uniquely Finnish contribution to the alternative comic landscape of the 1980s.
