About the series
Hilda Terry, one of the pioneering female cartoonists in the industry, created, wrote, and drew this short-lived 1949–1950 Pines comic series. Teena followed the everyday adventures of its title character, a spirited teenager navigating school, friendships, and family life in a lighthearted slice-of-life style. Though only three issues were published, the series stands out as a charming example of early teen-humor comics from a distinctive female perspective.
