Tarzan & Co

From 1971 to 1976, Illustrerte Klassikere and Williams Forlag presented Tarzan & Co, a 19-issue Norwegian comic series that brought the Lord of the Jungle to a new audience. Anchored by the dynamic artwork of Joe Kubert and Burne Hogarth, with foundational stories from Edgar Rice Burroughs and Don Garden, the series adapted classic Tarzan adventures with a raw, expressive energy. As a key entry in the European reprint market, it showcased the enduring power of the ape-man through some of the most celebrated illustrators in the medium’s history.
