Tarzan apenes konge

In 1973, the Norwegian publisher Illustrerte Klassikere / Williams Forlag launched a single-issue comic adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan, apenes konge ("Tarzan, King of the Apes"), featuring the dynamic, influential artwork of Burne Hogarth. Translating Burroughs' original novel into a comics format, the issue was scripted by Kjell Risvik and Robert Hodes, bringing the classic jungle lord story to a Norwegian audience. This release stands as a notable, localized European edition of Hogarth's celebrated Tarzan work, offering a distinctive chapter in the character's long history in sequential art.
