Tarzan Album

A blend of newspaper strip reprints and new material, Tarzan Album collected the jungle lord's adventures in a large-format, magazine-sized comic series from the small publisher Classics/Williams. Running for 22 issues from 1969 to 1976, the series is notable for showcasing the lush, detailed artwork of Russ Manning, who was the primary artist and writer for its original stories during this period. It served as a key vehicle for keeping Edgar Rice Burroughs' iconic character in the public eye during the late Silver and early Bronze Ages of comics.
