Target Western Romances

A brief, two-issue series from Star Publications, Target Western Romances (1949–1950) blended the frontier setting of a Western with the emotional drama of a romance comic. Writer Kenneth William Fitch and artist Norman Nodel were the primary creative forces behind this short-lived hybrid, which aimed to capture the burgeoning post-war audience for both genres. Though it had a very limited run, the series is a curious artifact of the era's genre-blending experiments in the early days of the romance comics boom.
