Tangy en Laverdure
Oberon; Dargaud Benelux · 1976–1979 · 18 issues
About the series
A Franco-Belgian aviation series spun off from the iconic Tanguy et Laverdure universe, Tangy ran for 18 issues from 1976 to 1979, published by Oberon and Dargaud Benelux. The title shifted its focus to the adventures of the younger pilot Tangy, a character previously introduced in the main series, offering a fresh perspective on aerial exploits. Written primarily by Jean-Michel Charlier, the series featured artwork by both Albert Uderzo and Jijé, two legends of the bande dessinée tradition. It stands as a notable, if lesser-known, expansion of Charlier’s beloved aviation saga, showcasing his signature blend of technical detail and high-flying drama.
