About the series
In 2018, Salleck Publications revived the classic Franco-Belgian aviation series Tanguy und Laverdure with a new "Klassik" run, bringing the beloved fighter pilots back to the skies. Scripted primarily by Jean-Michel Charlier (the series' original co-creator) alongside Matthieu Durand and Patrice Buendia, with art by Durand, this four-issue series updates the timeless adventures for a modern audience while honoring the spirit of the classic strip. It matters as a respectful, well-crafted continuation of one of Europe's most iconic aeronautical comic sagas.
