Tales of the Green Beret

In 1986, Blackthorne Publishing launched Tales of the Green Beret, a three-issue comic series adapting the classic newspaper strip by legendary artist Joe Kubert. Kubert's gritty, dynamic artwork brings the harrowing, real-world-inspired missions of U.S. Special Forces in Vietnam to visceral life, marking one of the earliest direct comic adaptations of the beloved strip. Though brief, the series stands as a testament to Kubert's masterful storytelling and his deep respect for the soldiers he depicted.
