Télé-Pirate

In the early 1980s, the French publisher Elvifrance launched Télé-Pirate, a 20-issue series that blended science fiction and pirate adventure with a distinctly adult, erotic edge. Known for its lurid painted covers and interiors by the prolific Italian artist Emanuele Taglietti, the series stands as a vivid artifact of the European "fumetti" boom, where bold, cinematic visuals and transgressive themes pushed the boundaries of comic book storytelling.
