About the series
A short-lived but distinctive series from Dell Comics, T.H.E. CAT ran for just four issues beginning in 1967. Written primarily by Joe Gill, with art by Jack Sparling and Tony Tallarico, the title followed the adventures of a costumed hero whose name stood for "Tactical Hazard Elimination." Though brief, the series is a curious artifact of the late Silver Age, showcasing Dell's attempt to launch an original superhero property outside the shadow of the bigger publishers.
