A long-running anthology series from Editora de Periódicos, S. C. L. "La Prensa," Suspenso delivered 30 issues of standalone horror and suspense tales from 1957 onward. The series is best remembered for its striking artwork, frequently featuring the early-career pencils of both Dick Giordano and Steve Ditko before their major American breakthroughs. As a sustained showcase for moody, pre-Code-style genre comics from a Mexican publisher, it remains a notable artifact of international comics history.
