Suspense Picture Library Holiday Special
IPC · 1977–1981 · 5 issues
About the series
From 1977 to 1981, IPC published five oversized Suspense Picture Library Holiday Specials, each a thick, magazine-format anthology of standalone horror and thriller stories. These specials expanded on the classic British Picture Library tradition, mixing reprints of gothic chills and supernatural shocks with new material, all rendered in the dense, moody black-and-white art that defined the line. A holiday-season staple for fans of pulp terror, they offered a compact, portable dose of dread perfect for train journeys or rainy seaside days.
