About the series
In 2005–2006, Marvel’s Supreme Power: Hyperion spun off from J. Michael Straczynski’s reimagining of the Squadron Supreme, zeroing in on its Superman-analogue. Over five issues, Straczynski, with artists Dan Jurgens and Staz Johnson, explored the isolated, government-manipulated youth of a godlike alien raised on Earth. This series deepened the grounded, morally complex take on superhero origins that defined the Supreme Power imprint, offering a poignant character study of power and alienation.
