In this 2015–2016 AfterShock miniseries, writer Jimmy Palmiotti and artist Rafael de Latorre explore what happens when a man with no superpowers and a failing career is suddenly given the chance to become a real-life superhero—only to discover that the line between heroism and self-destruction is razor-thin. Co-plotted with Amanda Conner, the six-issue run is a gritty, character-driven take on the cost of vigilante justice, grounded in a world where the greatest enemy might be the hero's own flawed humanity.
