Superman Earth One

In 2010, J. Michael Straczynski launched Superman: Earth One for DC as a modern, standalone reimagining of the Man of Steel, told across three graphic novels. Paired with artists Shane Davis and Ardian Syaf, the series stripped away decades of continuity to focus on a young Clark Kent finding his way in Metropolis, grappling with his powers and his place in the world. It offered a fresh, character-driven starting point for new readers, emphasizing the personal cost of heroism and the choice to become Superman.
