About the series
From 1967 to 1972, Editora Brasil-América (EBAL) published Super X, a 55-issue Brazilian comic series that blended translated Marvel adventures with original local material. The series is best remembered for featuring the Prince Submarino (Namor) and O Incrível Hulk (the Incredible Hulk), with stories primarily written by Stan Lee and illustrated by a powerhouse roster of artists including Jack Kirby, Gene Colan, and Marie Severin. As a key EBAL title, Super X introduced Brazilian readers to classic Marvel storytelling during the late Silver Age, bridging the gap between American superhero comics and the vibrant Brazilian comics market.
