About the series
From 1984 to 1996, Editora Abril’s Super-Homem presented the definitive Brazilian edition of the Man of Steel’s adventures, collecting and translating the core Superman titles of the era. Running for 147 issues, this series is most closely associated with the influential creative team of John Byrne, Jerry Ordway, and Roger Stern, who redefined the character in the late 1980s. Featuring the monumental artwork of George Pérez alongside Byrne and Ordway, this run brought the post-Crisis on Infinite Earths Superman to a new audience, making it a cornerstone of Brazilian comics publishing.
