About the series
Peter Laird, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, launched Stupid Heroes in 1994 through Mirage Studios as a personal, satirical side project. Running for just three issues, the series is a self-contained, often absurdist take on the superhero genre, with Laird handling both writing and art duties. It stands as a quirky, creator-owned artifact from the mid-90s indie boom, showcasing a different, more playful side of a legendary comics figure.
