Street Angel

Street Angel, launched in 2005 from Slave Labor Graphics, is a scrappy, punk-infused indie comic by writer Brian Maruca and artist Jim Rugg. It follows a skateboarding, homeless 12-year-old ninja girl who fights evil in her downtrodden neighborhood with a mix of martial arts and sheer attitude. The series stands out for its raw, DIY energy and lovingly crude art style, capturing the spirit of underground comics while delivering a unique, modern take on the action-hero genre.
