About the series
Based on Michael Moorcock's fantasy novels, this 1976 one-shot from Savoy brings the Eternal Champion's saga to comics. Writer and artist James Cawthorn, a longtime Moorcock collaborator, visualizes the black sword Stormbringer and its bearer, Elric of Melniboné, in a single, self-contained adaptation. Though a brief entry in the character's long history, it stands as a key early attempt to translate the albino emperor's doomed adventures into sequential art.
