Storm

In 1984–1985, Finnish publisher A-lehdet brought the Dutch classic Storm to readers in a compact three-issue series. Written by Dick Matena and illustrated by the legendary Don Lawrence, this science-fantasy saga follows the titular hero through a vividly rendered, post-apocalyptic world of alien landscapes and strange civilizations. Though brief in its Finnish run, this edition introduced Lawrence’s lush, painterly style and Matena’s taut storytelling to a new audience, cementing the series as a key piece of European comics history.
