Milton Caniff’s Steve Canyon debuted in 1948, published by Super Publishing, as a newspaper comic strip adventure following the globe-trotting exploits of a U.S. Air Force pilot. Caniff, the strip's sole creator and artist for its entire run, brought his signature cinematic storytelling and detailed, shadow-drenched art to this long-running series.
