Over ten issues from 2000 to 2002, Avalon Communications revived the classic western genre with Star Western, a series that brought frontier adventures to a modern audience. Anchored by the recurring presence of legendary frontiersman Daniel Boone, the title was crafted by a stable of seasoned talent including writers Richard Hughes and Joe Gill, with art from Charles Nicholas, Ed Moritz, and Jack Keller. It stands as a latter-day tribute to the pulp western tradition, offering straightforward, character-driven tales of the American frontier.
