From 1974 to 1975, Dutch publisher De Vrijbuiter (later De Schorpioen) released a nine-issue Star Trek comic series, one of the earliest international adaptations of the original TV show. Writers Len Wein, Arnold Drake, and Dick Wood crafted original stories, while artists Alberto Giolitti and Angelo R. Todaro—along with occasional photo-based panels—brought the Enterprise crew to life in a distinctive European style. This series stands as a fascinating, lesser-known chapter in Star Trek publishing history, offering a unique blend of American scripting and Italian artwork.
