Squee!

A four-issue miniseries from the late 1990s, Squee! was published by Slave Labor Graphics and spins off from the world of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. The series focuses on a timid, perpetually frightened child named Squee, exploring his grimly humorous misadventures and the bleak, absurd horror that surrounds him. Written and illustrated by Jhonen Vasquez, it stands as a key work of the alternative/underground comic boom of the era, showcasing Vasquez’s signature dark, sarcastic style and influencing a generation of goth-tinged humor.
