About the series
The Small Press Expo's annual anthology, SPX '98, launched in 1998 as a single-issue showcase for the indie-comics community. Most closely associated with writer/artist Pete Sickman-Garner, this slim volume captures the raw, DIY spirit of the late-'90s alt-comics scene. It remains a time capsule of the voices that defined the early Small Press Expo.
