From 1985 to 1994, the German anthology Sprühende Phantasie brought a burst of imaginative, often experimental comics to readers through Konkurs Press. Over its 13-issue run, the series showcased a rotating cast of alternative and underground European talent, making it a distinctive, cult-favorite showcase for boundary-pushing storytelling and art.
