Spirit of Wonder

In this three-issue miniseries from Dino Verlag (2001–2003), Spirit of Wonder adapts the whimsical, science-fantasy manga by Kenji Tsuruta into a German-language comic. The story follows a young boy named Jin and his mysterious neighbor, the brilliant but eccentric inventor Miss China, as her peculiar experiments lead to gentle, wonder-filled adventures. Though brief, the series is notable for bringing Tsuruta's lyrical, detailed artwork and charmingly offbeat storytelling to a European audience.
