Spider-Man and Zoids
Marvel UK · 1986–1987 · 51 issues
About the series
In the mid-1980s, Marvel UK merged the wall-crawling world of Peter Parker with the mechanized might of the Zoids, a line of robotic battle beasts, for a 51-issue series that ran from 1986 to 1987. Written primarily by Tom DeFalco, Jim Shooter, and Roger Stern, with art from Ron Frenz, John Buscema, and Brett Breeding, this unique crossover placed Spider-Man in high-stakes adventures alongside giant, sentient machines. A quirky artifact of its era, it stands as a curious blend of Marvel's street-level heroics and the toyetic sci-fi of the Zoids franchise.
