Launching from the pages of What If?, this Marvel series from 1999 reimagines a future where Peter Parker’s daughter, Mayday, inherits his spider-powers and carves her own heroic identity. Written primarily by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz, with Frenz on art, the title became a cult favorite for its warm, grounded take on legacy and family. Though it began as a single issue, it would go on to prove that a new generation of heroes could stand on their own, earning a devoted following and a surprising longevity.
