Spawn

A Polish-language edition of Todd McFarlane’s flagship Image series, Spawn (1997–2001) from TM-Semic adapted the early issues of the American run for a new audience. Most frequently written by Dariusz Matusik, Terry Fitzgerald, and McFarlane himself, with McFarlane’s bold, angular art defining the look, this 24-issue series introduced Polish readers to the dark, supernatural anti-hero Al Simmons and his war against Heaven and Hell. It stands as a key cultural bridge, bringing one of the 1990s’ most iconic creator-owned comics to Eastern Europe.
