Space Kingley Annual

In the early 1950s, British publisher Sampson Low launched the Space Kingley Annual, a trio of oversized comic annuals following the interplanetary adventures of its titular hero. The series is most consistently associated with artist R. W. Jobson, whose signed work gives the strip a distinctive, energetic look. A modest but charming entry in the post-war British sci-fi boom, it represents a time when homegrown space heroes competed with reprints of American comics for young readers' attention.
