Solo Ex-Mutants

About the series
From 1988 to 1989, Malibu Comics published Solo Ex-Mutants, a five-issue series that examined the fates of former mutant heroes stripped of their powers in a world that no longer needs them. Written primarily by Jonathan Grove and Scott Rockwell, with art by Jack Snider, Nigel Tully, and Sandy Carruthers, the book carved out a gritty, character-driven corner of the publisher's superhero line. It mattered as an early exploration of de-powered superheroes navigating mundane life, predating similar themes in more mainstream comics.
