From 2019, Shortbox published this single-issue comic by James Stokoe, who both wrote and drew it. A dense, visually spectacular one-shot, it explores the story of Sobek, the ancient Egyptian crocodile god, with Stokoe's signature hyper-detailed, psychedelic linework and inventive world-building. It stands as a compact but potent showcase for one of modern comics' most distinctive stylists.
