Snøfte Smith

Fred Lasswell's Snøfte Smith began as a Norwegian adaptation of his American strip Barney Google and Snuffy Smith, running from 1970 to the present through Hjemmet and later Egmont. The series, spanning 51 issues, was shaped by Lasswell alongside Norwegian talents Knut Eide and Fredrik Wandrup, with Eide and John Rose also contributing art. It stands as a long-running, localized take on the classic hillbilly humor strip, offering generations of readers a familiar yet distinctly Scandinavian comic experience.
